Message It really sucks you didn't notice it when it happened, worst yet, Here is what you don't have in your favor:

The fact that you tromped it rather than braked real hard makes it unbelievable that she hit you, I belDBD::ODBC::db prepare failed: (DBD: st_prepare/SQLAllocStmt err=-2) at incl_db.pl line 293.
ieve you but cops/insurance proabally wont. After all If you were hit on the back quarter panel, that means you were in front of her when she switced into your lane. They will be more likely to believe that you switched into her lane while she was in your blind spot as opposed to her swithcing into your lane while you were plain in her sight. While Your Z has enough power to jet up in front of her before she blinked, most cars can't. Now I'm sure she knows it was her fault, but it's your word against her, and giving the damage, it looks in her favor. I hope they don't get you for hit and run too.

It's amazing what people will do to avoid blame. My girlfriend got hit by a lady in an SUV that ran a red blinking light while talking on a Cell phone, It rolled her car, she broke her foot, femur, and dislocated her hip had a mild concussion and missed the prom. The lady had the Audacity to claim that she stopped for the light and that my girlfriend didnt have her head lights on. Yeah right, she must have picked up an awfull lot of speed to flip my gf's car a half a dozen times. She also had light, on and her PIAA super white fog lights. Also the other 3 witness cars had their lights on and the fire fighter testified that he had to turn her lights off, and they did a test on the bulbs to prove they were on, So the lady finally admitted. Some people. It took an hour and a half to cut her out while I watched and the other lady watched, and she still tried to displace the blame.

If you could have conviced her to pay under the table, You could have taken it to get damage appraised first, show her appraisal, then try to rub it out with rubbing compound. I have completely taken out scratches from minor collisions that were much worse. The you could pocket the cash. Not sure if you could still do that through Ins though as they might want reciept.
